Young People and Families

Having a Voice in the Future

We help young people express preferences, make choices and take an increasing part in decisions about their lives. This includes developing self-advocacy: communicating what matters to them, what they need and when they would like support.

Families are important partners in understanding aspirations, recognising progress and planning the next stage. Conversations about the future consider learning and accreditation alongside practical skills, wellbeing and the support a young person is likely to need.

To discuss your child’s Post-16 learning or next steps, please speak to their class team or our Post-16 lead.
