Learning with a Purpose

At Baskerville, preparation for adulthood shapes our Post-16 curriculum. Young people develop academic and practical skills alongside communication, independence and the confidence to participate in their communities.

Our pupils have a wide range of strengths, interests and learning needs. Teaching is adapted to their starting points, communication, sensory, physical and emotional needs, and aspirations for the future.

Progress looks different for each young person. It may mean gaining accreditation, managing an everyday task with less support, expressing a preference or becoming more confident in a new place. We value meaningful steps towards the greatest possible independence.
