Personal development extends beyond academic learning. At Baskerville, we help pupils build relationships, express their views, make choices and take part in their communities as safely and independently as possible.

Preparation for adulthood begins before Post-16. Across our Discovery, Explorers and Voyagers pathways, learning and experiences are adapted to pupils’ individual needs, communication and stage of development.

Progress can mean communicating a preference, asking a trusted adult for help, using a skill in the community or preparing for a new setting. We value these meaningful steps towards greater independence.
