At Baskerville, we recognise achievement through academic learning, communication, practical skills and growing independence. Our pupils have varied strengths and needs, so we consider progress in relation to each pupil’s starting point and future aspirations.

Across our Discovery, Explorers and Voyagers pathways, we maintain high expectations and recognise meaningful steps forward. For some pupils, these include formal qualifications. For others, a new way to communicate, take part or complete an everyday task can represent significant progress.

Learning, personal development and preparation for adulthood are considered together, helping us understand how well pupils are being prepared for their next stage.
