HEADTEACHER'SWelcome

A message from Gary Edmunds

Welcome to Baskerville School.

'Together we grow' expresses what we want for our whole school community: a place where children and young people with autism feel safe, understood and valued, and are supported to achieve their very best.

We start by getting to know each pupil—their strengths, interests, ways of communicating and the support they need. Through our Discovery, Explorers and Voyagers pathways, we provide learning that is personalised, meaningful and ambitious. We recognise that achievement takes different forms and celebrate the steps each pupil makes towards greater confidence, communication and independence.

Our work reaches beyond the classroom. Relationships, wellbeing, wider experiences and preparation for adulthood are central to helping pupils build fulfilling lives. We want every young person to develop their interests, have their voice heard and participate in their community.

Families are essential partners in this work. By listening, sharing knowledge and working together, we can better understand what matters to each child and support their next steps.

This is an important period of development for Baskerville as we strengthen our provision and prepare for our new school building. Throughout these changes, our focus remains clear: the safety, learning and wellbeing of our pupils.

I am proud to lead Baskerville and hope our website gives you a helpful insight into our school community and the opportunities we offer our pupils.
