School Events

The boxing programme delivered by Keith and Daniel from the Birmingham Community Boxing Project has been highly successful and well received by our students.

Students showed excellent engagement, enthusiasm, and commitment throughout, with sessions designed to ensure all learners could participate fully within a supportive and inclusive environment.

The programme positively developed students’ confidence, communication, and interaction skills. Keith and Daniel delivered well-organised, engaging sessions, building strong relationships with students and adapting activities to meet diverse needs.

Overall, the programme has been a valuable addition to the school’s PE provision, offering a motivating new activity. The impact has been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to continuing next academic year.

We are about to embark on the Ackers and Wingate Residential Trips for our students.

23rd April 2026 – School Council Update

The Baskerville School Council met with the Headteacher today and shared a number of thoughtful and positive ideas to further improve the school.

Pupils spoke confidently about feeling safe and supported, explaining that there is always a member of staff they can talk to if they feel unhappy or worried.

The Council made several suggestions for development, including:

Introducing a more effective rewards system
Starting a school football team
Expanding the range of lunchtime and after-school clubs
Pupils showed particular interest in clubs such as a Pokémon Club, Music Club, and football opportunities.

The Headteacher thanked the School Council for their contributions and confirmed that he will work with staff to develop these ideas and take them forward.
