Building Baskerville
New Build Update - Ground Beams Nearly Complete!
Just five days since our last update, and the work on site has continued into the Easter holidays without pause.
The concrete ground beams are now nearly complete across the entire building. You can see in the aerial photos that the concrete has been poured across most of the footprint, with only a few small sections still to be finished. The layout of the new school is now taking solid shape with the concrete ground beams marking out the structure.
A concrete pump truck has been on site helping to complete the remaining sections, and the construction team has been working hard to keep everything moving forward even as the holidays begin.
Tilbury Douglas, the main contractor, have said that the building should start rising from the ground soon. With the ground beams almost finished, the walls and structure will begin going up - that's when things will really start to look like a school and you'll be able to see the scale and shape of the new building clearly.
We'll keep you posted with more updates as the build progresses.
